Connection to UNESCO

UNESCO, as an integrated body at the United Nations, has as top priority the education. Considered a basic right, it is the foundation upon which peace-building and the drive for sustainable development must be built.

Entrusted to lead and coordinate the Education 2030 Agenda, UNESCO is part of a global movement to eradicate poverty through 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030. These objectives aim at balancing the economic, social and ecological dimensions of sustainable development and must be achieved around the world by all UN Member States. It is important to encourage non-governmental actors, once their active contribution to sustainable development is also very important.

This UNESCO Chair on “Education for Global Peace Sustainability (E=GPS)”, is dedicated to addressing all SDG, but in particular # 16, which is devoted to promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for the sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
